Frequently Asked Questions
Q: [Does A+ Texas Discount Carpets really
have the lowest prices, our is it all just hype?]
A: [Yes, we really do have lower prices. the reason we
only mark up our prices an average of 10-15%. A+ Texas Discount
Carpets was purchased by Mr. Jerry Lindenman as a means to supply
his investment company with carpet, and he wants his customers to
have same low
price as was offered to him when he was a customer. We work out of a
warehouse as opposed to a fancy showroom therefore we have less
overhead than other companies.]
Q: [Why do you quote and sell carpets by
the yard as opposed to by the foot?]
A: [The reason we quote by the yard is we don't wont to mislead the customer. Lets face it, most
people don't carry a pocket calculator with them and multiply the
price per foot by 9 to see what their really paying. When they are
quoted by the foot they don't realize the true price of carpet, and
we don't want to mislead them. We show them exactly what they are
paying. We quote the carpet, padding and install separately so you
know exactly what you are paying for.]
Q: [Why do some big stores offer free
padding and A+ Texas Discount Carpets does not?]
A: [There is no such thing as free, the price of the carpet is
inflated to cover the price of the pad. We feel that is a very
deceptive way to make a sale. At A+ Texas Discount Carpets we don't
play those games.]
Q: [Why does the price of pad and carpet
fluxuate?]
A: [The reason the price fluxuates is tied to different factors.
The economy, the price of fuel, etc. Sometimes the mills raise their
price so we are forced to raise ours, but as soon as the price goes
down we don't hesitate to lowers ours!]
Q:[Do you sell remnants?]
A:[Absolutely, this is our specialty. We have contracts with
different carpet suppliers to sell us their leftovers. Many times
they are full rolls. Example: If a big hotel orders 10 rolls of
carpet and only uses 8, the other 2 would be be considered a remnant
which we would then buy for pennies on the dollar. Therefore we can
sell them for pennies on the dollar!]
